Experience

Ceramic Binder Jetting -Mechanical Design Engineer, Mar 2023 - Current University of Miami, Miami, Fl

·   Responsible for creating parts in SolidWorks and assembling them using FDM printed components

·   Collaborate with team members to develop and implement ceramic binder jetting processes, resulting in improved production efficiency and quality control

·   Conduct testing and analysis on the finished parts to ensure they meet the required specifications and customer expectations.

Senior Design Project - Mechanical Design Engineer, Jan 2021 - Current

University of Miami, Miami, Fl

·   Led the design of a 3D printed brake caliper for a go-kart using SolidWorks and nTopology software

·   Conducted displacement and stress analysis using Ansys Mechanical software to optimize the design and ensure its structural integrity

·   Analyzed the thermal stress, displacement, and residual stresses of the brake caliper using additive manufacturing simulation

·   Conducted a laser powder bed fusion simulation to validate that the brake caliper would print properly without any recoated blade interference

·   Achieved a 30% weight reduction in the brake caliper by using topology optimization to optimize the design and minimize material usage

·   Observed deformation due to residual stress from the difference in temperatures during printing and implemented design changes to minimize deformation and improve the structural integrity of the brake caliper

·   Validated the dimension of the brake caliper using FDM prior to printing it in 17-4 stainless steel using laser powder bed fusion.

 Advanced Nano Systems Laboratory - R&D Engineer, Oct 2022 - Feb 2023

University of Miami, Miami, Fl

·   Used rapid prototyping methods to design and build a proof of concept and prototype of personalized robotic ocular prosthesis

·   Designed and integrated electro-mechanical systems, developed system requirements, built experimental setups, and tested hardware and software

Utilized SolidWorks for designing parts and configuring the system, and used Python for verification and testing and C++ for embedded control systems, machine learning integration, and computer vision.
